Volunteers are the heartbeat of our programs. Volunteers teach in our Outdoor Science Education Program, help with resource management, and lead tours of the reserves. Valentine Eastern Sierra Reserves – Reserve Steward

The position will support the maintenance of facilities and lands at the 2 Reserves located in Mammoth Lakes, CA (SNARL and Valentine Reserve).  The Reserves are part of the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB), and the position will be an employee of UCSB, salary approximately $22-$25/hour with access to UCSB benefits. We are interested in a high energy semi-skilled level worker in the following trades- carpentry, plumbing, drywall, painting, welding, masonry and landscaping. Maintains and repairs the facility, building, laboratory, grounds, vehicles and roads using a variety of hand and power tools and heavy operating equipment.  Looking for an organized individual who has the ability to work concurrently on a variety of tasks and has strong problem-solving skills. The position runs from May to October.
