The Sierra Nevada Aquatic Research Laboratory and its associated facilities are available to all academic organizations, non-profits, government agencies and community groups that fall within the constraints of our education, research, and public service mission. Laboratory, office, computing, and housing facilities are all available at the reserve.

SNARL
Acquired by UCSB in 1973, the Sierra Nevada Aquatic Research Lab serves as a base for research and teaching in a large part of eastern, central California and western Nevada. With some of the most developed facilities in the Natural Reserve System and a considerable outreach program, SNARL is the UC outpost in this part of the State.
