Perennial herb, rhizomatous; occasional in wet meadows near Convict Creek, east end of property; with Carex lanuginose, Salix luten.

Common, sandy-silty soil, moist to dry sites near aspen groves and moist sites in sagebrush scrub. Perennial herb, rhizomatous.

Perennial herb, rhizomatous, bracts scarlet; occasional growing below willows in wet meadow, east end of property, near east stream control structure on Convict Creek; with Salix lutea.

Chaenactis douglasii – Dusty Maidens, Hoary Chaenactis
Biennial, flowers cream; locally uncommon, dry sandy-gravelly soil, sagebrush scrub, east end of property along road to manmade stream channels; with Purshia tridentata, Achnatherum nevadensis.

Chamaesyce serpyllifolia subsp. Serpyllifolia – Thyme-leaved Spurge
Common in disturbed sites, moist soil, near buildings and along trail to west end of property. Perennial herb, prostrate, bracts white-margined.

Common, dry sandy-gravelly soil, disturbed sites, along entrance road and trails, around buildings. Annual herb, flowers greenish.

Annual, common along the entrance road, and in open sites in sagebrush scrub; with Eriogonum baileyi, Gayophytum diffusum.

Chorizanthe brevicornu var. spathulata – Brittle Spineflower
Occasional, open often disturbed sites in sagebrush scrub, near artificial stream channel installation, dry sandy-gravelly soil; Phacelia bicolor, Cryptantha circumscissa. Annual herb, flowers greenish.

Chrysothamnus viscidiflorus ssp. puberulus – Sticky Rabbit-brush
Occasional subshrub to 3 dm tall, heads yellow, on sagebrush knoll in pumice soil with Purshia tridentata and Tetradymia canescens.

Occasional perennial herb to 1 dm tall corollas pink, in moist soil on meadow margin with Perideridia parishii and Castilleja miniata.

Uncommon, one small colony in moist sandy soil, along north bank of flood bypass channel. Annual herb, corollas bright pink.

Annual herb, corollas purple and white, common in open sunny places on dry, south-facing slope with Artemisia tridentata, Ceanothus velutinus.

Annual, common in disturbed, irrigated area west of headquarters building; with Lepidium macrocarpum, Sporobolus cryptandrus.

Occassional perennial herb, corollas yellow, in loose pumice soil in sunny forest openings with Abies concolor, Pinus jeffreyi, Artemisia tridentata.

Annual, corollas white, common in open disturbed ground near manmade stream channels; with Sisymbrium altissimum, Bromus tectorum.

Annual, corollas white, nutlets homomorphie, densely papillate with a few tubercles, scattered colonies in dry open sites along unpaved road west of laboratory.

Cyperus squarrosus – Umbrella-sedge
Annual; locally uncommon; open sites in dry meadow where brush piles have been burned, northeast corner of property near fence; with Gnaphalium palustre, Polygonum douglasii.
