Resembling colors of a vivid painting, Violet-green Swallows live up to their name in boasting a deep emerald and shimmery purple back, head, and wings with a bright white underbelly. You can spot one of these birds flying after insects over bodies of water, open fields, and woodlands. They have even been noted to reach flight speeds of 28 mph! Violet-green Swallows can be spotted in their breeding habitat at VESR.
