The Rufous Hummingbird flies an impressive 3,900 mile migration route from Alaska to Mexico. The males can be spotted by thier burnt orange head, throat, and back while females have a green coloration with white patches on their underside. Rufous Hummingbirds feed on nectar from tubular flowers and eat the occasional insect. Typically found in open woodlands, they can be found in many different elevations and habitats during thier migration.
