The Rubber Boa gathers its name due to its rubbery looking skin and are typically a dark brown. These snakes can be found in meadows, grasslands, chaparral, and forrests and can even live at high elevations over 10,000 feet. Eating mainly but not limited to small mammals, they can prepare for hibernation when colder weather.
