The male Purple Finch has a rasbery colored head a that trickles down the back and chest of the bird fading into a light tan on the stomach and brown wings. The female Purple Finch doesn’t follow the name and is brown and white with brown speckles on the stomach. They can be found in forests eating seeds and fruit off of branches.
