The Ord’s Kangaroo Rat is a golden tan on the back and has a light white stomach. The rat has long legs and a long tail in which could aid it’s hopping movements. Ord’s Kangaroo Rats can be found in sandy areas within grasslands, scrub habitats, and woodlands. They eat mainly seeds and they bring food back into their burrows.
