The male Mountain Bluebirds are hard to miss as they boast a brilliant aqua-indigo blue coloration. The females also have hints of this color along their wings with an overall beige color. You can spot the Mountain Bluebird catching insects in the air or perched waiting for prey to fly by. These birds live in open woodlands and can level in elevations up to 12,500 feet above sea level.
