The females of the Lodgepole Chipmunk tend to be larger than males while both sexes maintain the white striped face and back with rusted orange sides and gray belly. These chipmunks are omnivorous eating small mammals, birds, bird eggs, and insects along with leaves flowers, pollen, and seeds. As the name suggests, the Lodgepole Chipmunk lives in forests that contain lodgepole pines along with other pine species.
