Leptothorax rugatulus

Leptothorax rugatulus

Class:Insecta
Order:Hymenoptera
Family:Myrmicinae
Genus:Leptothorax

Minute red and brown ant. Colonies are very small (often < 50 ants) and are found in wooded areas, generally under stones or debris. Individual workers often forage above-ground, but because they are small and slow-moving, they are not easy to find (Nonacs).
