Small to medium sized dark brown to blackish ant. Colonies are usually very active during the day and nests are in the soil. Many small entrances can be found in a local area that are probably all connected to the same colony. Workers are slightly polymorphic, with the smaller workers tending to do more of the foraging (Nonacs).
