Around 44,000 to 65,000 California Gull come to Mono Lake to breed thus, it is likely that any the California Gull spotted on a far way beach was born at Mono Lake. The California Gull despite being thought of a coastal birds are found in pastures, lakes, scrublands, and foraging in urban areas. They are even the state bird of Utah! This medium-sized gull are decorated with grey wings, a white head and breasts, and a yellow beak when a breeding adult.
