Female Big Brown Bats can roost in colonies ranging from 5 to 700 when rearing young while males typically roost alone. They are insectivors as they mainly eat beetles and flying insects. During winter when prey is less active, the Big Brown Bats undergo hiberation thus during feeding times they harbor fat storages up to one third of their body weight to survive. Big Brown Bats also have an immressive range of heart beats as their heart can beat from 420 beats to 1097 depending on activity.
