Facilities

SNARL serves as a base for research and teaching in a large part of eastern, central California and western Nevada. With some of the most developed facilities in the Natural Reserve System and a considerable outreach program, SNARL is the UC outpost in this part of the State. SNARL and its associated facilities are available to all academic organizations, non-profits, government agencies and community groups that fall within the constraints of our education, research, and public service mission.

The reserve has overnight facilities for up to 50 people, and has outdoor space for camping in summer if housing facilities are full. For overflow camping SNARL has a large common kitchen area and indoor lounge area in the Headquarters building, as well as bathroom shack with toilets, sinks and showers and shaded area with picnic tables. High speed WIFI internet is available throughout the SNARL campus.
