The Common Snipe have a long pointed bill which helps it to probe in the mud for snail, small crustaceans, instects, larvae and worms. The striped head and brown body helps to distinguish this wader and can be located in wet grassy areas, marshes, ponds, and flooded fields. The Common Snipe sleeps throughout the day and then feeds at dusk and dawn and have an impressive flight speed of 60 miles per hour.
